Suzanne Reyto was born 13 March 1944 in Budapest, Hungary – six days before the Germans invaded and occupied the country. In her childhood, she survived the Budapest ghetto under the Nazis, and later, the communist dictatorship For this project, I created three linoleum prints that represent important elements of her and her family’s stories of survival. Text descriptions of each piece can be found at the end of the pdf telling her story, as well as a note about my inspirations for their creation.
